I got pretty serious about running 5 years ago in high school. When I started running it didnt take long to see results not only in my time, but how my body looked. This continued up until I was 19. I had surgery done on my abdomen, and took a few months off. I tried to get back into running, but it just wasnt the same and I didnt feel ready so it was an off and on thing. 3 months ago I started back into my routine. Running and doing the same type of exercises I did in high school, and eating almost exactly as I did in high school. Im not getting any results. My times are improving sooo much slower now, and my body does not look different. I cannot get rid of these pesky 10 pounds I gained while recovering from surgery. I dont know what to do, because Im 20 years old. Runners dont even peak until after age 18. Why is my body not reacting the same way it used to?
Thanks!
